KDF - CICA SCHOLARSHIP PARTNERSHIP 2021
June 2021 - The Karen Dale Foundation has partnered with the Caribbean International Cultural Association (CICA) for the 2nd time, to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Charlotte, NC area, who are of Caribbean descent, and plan on pursuing undergraduate degrees full-time. CICA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Charlotte, NC area.
CICA selected 4 recipients from the Class of 2021 - Tajay Brown, Kennide Cottle, Makayla Forde, and Ava Lee.
Through KDF's Education and Literacy program, our selection criteria also require that these students pursue a degree in the Health Care, Medical, or related fields. Based on this requirement, the Karen Dale Foundation selected the following student for our 2021 Scholarship Award:

Ava Lee (Jamaica)
Ava graduated from Cox Mill High School and will be attending University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She plans on pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Physical Science and attending Medical School to study Psychiatry.
KDF is awarding $1,500 to this year's recipient, which is in addition to the award she will be receiving from CICA.

The Karen Dale Foundation wishes Ava much success. As she expands her knowledge in our chosen fields of study, we challenge her to find ways to utilize that knowledge to help make a difference in the health care and medical community in Jamaica, the Caribbean island of her heritage.
CICA has been “United in Service to the Charlotte Community and the Caribbean Community Worldwide” for the past 21+ years. Click the button below to read their June 2021 Magazine which highlights the 2021 Scholarship recipients.

We looked forward to a continued partnership with CICA.
